Halifax Funding Secures Extra Project Worker for EDA (N.I.)

Eating Disorders Association expands their team.

Eating Disorders Association (N.I.) is delighted to announce that funding secured from the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland has strengthened their capacity to support people affected by eating disorders. The support from the compassionate and wonderful Halifax Foundation, has allowed for the recruitment of a Project Worker enabling EDA to provide vital support to a greater number of people affected by eating disorders and their families. COVID-19 has undoubtedly brought unique and extremely difficult challenges to those affected by eating disorders causing anxiety to be heightened and eating disorder behaviours to be triggered leaving many people greatly struggling in their lives.

As a consequence, EDA has witnessed an even greater number of people using their services. This funding will undoubtedly support EDA in meeting this increased demand and increase their ability to provide an even greater level of support to people who are experiencing distress.

EDA is extremely grateful to the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland for their continued support.
