About Us
The Eating Disorders Association NI offers support and advice to people who are affected by Anorexia, Bulimia or Binge Eating Disorder. We are based in Bryson House, 28 Bedford Street, Belfast and our centre is open Monday to Friday, 9 - 5 but we also offer a 24 hour telephone support service for those who need us at any time.
We hold support groups on the 2nd and last Tuesday of each month, where people who have personal experience of eating disorders volunteer their time to offer support to sufferers.
Our services form an essential lifeline to many people. Unfortunately there can be long waiting lists for specialist treatment and we aim to bridge the gap when specialist treatment is not immediately available. We are not an alternative to professional help however we do provide an invaluable support service to people in the interim.
The Eating Disorders Association provides an Education Awareness Programme for young people and our volunteers visit many schools and youth organisations to raise awareness of eating disorders.
